Talk 3: Radar Imaging and Feature Extraction of Space Targets

Speaker: Zhang Shuanghui

Affiliation: National University of Defense Technology

Academic title: Associate professor

Abstract:

Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging is becoming increasingly important in space target surveillance. However, the absence of radar echo and the micro-motion parts of space targets will defocus the ISAR images and prevent feature extraction from them. This report will discuss ISAR imaging and feature extraction methods of space targets to alleviate the above problems. Firstly, the sparse imaging technology of space targets is introduced, including sparse Bayesian framework, deep unfolding network and imaging technology of space targets with micro-motion parts. Then, ISAR images-based attitude estimation for the space targets is introduced, and an interesting 3D imaging method for the radar target is discussed.
